Lyndy Modesitt
Counselor
Lyndy believes in our innate capacity to access a healing inner wisdom. She supports
teens who are deeply struggling by helping them explore internal conflicts--often
between parts striving for self-improvement and parts seeking relief. By bringing care
to the wounds that drive these internal conflicts--clients develop greater self-trust,
cope with stress, and reconnect with their strengths.
As a trauma‐informed therapist with more than 12 years of experience, Lyndy has
worked with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, emotional shut
down, relationship difficulties, sexual assault, and addictive patterns rooted in both
shock‐based and developmental trauma. Her clients, along with her own healing
journey, have shown her that within each of us is an unshakably good, undamaged
core--capable of witnessing and healing.
By honoring each person’s developmental pace and direction, Lyndy integrates Internal
Family Systems (IFS), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), expressive arts, sandtray therapy,
mindfulness, and body‐based practices to help clients express and befriend their inner
worlds. Lyndy feels it is a deep honor to be entrusted with clients’ personal journeys,
and loves witnessing their growth in self‐trust and empowerment. Outside of her
practice, Lyndy enjoys time with family and friends — skiing, hiking, dancing, music,
and art.
