Works in Evergreen

Shaun is a Licensed Professional Counselor, working in Evergreen and Westminster, Colorado.

I strive to highlight what each individual brings to their story, point of view, and temperament. I work to find a space for each of these stories while helping that individual relate to their life, family, or partner. I absolutely love what I do and helping those see the best in themselves even when we are unable to see it ourselves. I work collaboratively in order to provide counseling services that will benefit all individuals in the dynamic.

My aim is to make therapy an efficient and unified experience. I have been working in the mental health field for 20 years in youth inpatient residential centers, dual diagnosis treatment teams, mental health crisis centers, detox units, hospitals, in-home treatment teams, human services and youth therapeutic mentorship programs. I work in a Depth, Narrative and transpersonal perspective meaning I look at how the past effects our present and present effects are future and what we connect to that helps us become the individuals we wish to be. I am always looking at everything that makes our narrative (our life story). When I am looking at this narrative I am looking at everything to include but not limited to sexuality, gender, spirituality, race, culture, economic background, music, social groups and activities in which we engage in.  I am always looking at how we relate not only to ourselves but how we relate to the world we live in and our relationships.

I am skilled in utilizing tools for our tool-belt such as CBT, DBT to help us achieve these goals and trauma sensitive utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Neurobiofeedback. My specialties include, trauma, domestic violence to include sexual, physical, spiritual and emotional abuse, sex addictions, porn addictions, attachments issues, screen addictions and relationships issues, survivors of suicide and finding meaning in life.
